Happiness Is in the Giving

From Our Co-Founder / Designer Boontavee:

After my two-day visit at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai— I was touched by the kindness of this sanctuary’s mission. I am inspired by the warmth, gentleness, and joy these elephants modeled.

Elephants are one of Thailand’s emblems—wise, majestic, and compassionate. Historically, they companied us into epic wars, aided our logging industry, drawn in countless tourists who have ridden them and applauded their astounding acts. Yet their docile behavior comes with a price to their own freedom and untold abuse.

Elephant Nature Park’s mission is to rehabilitate rescued elephants and allow them to live out their days roaming in the wild. Here, staff and visitors enjoyed these majestic creatures as they are—no need for sharp hooks or pleasure riding. Visitors helped staff prepare food, feed, and play with the elephants. The sanctuary has also opened its doors to other abandoned animals—horses, cats, and dogs.

Due to COVID-19, revenue generated by visitors to the park greatly diminished. To help support the excellent work at Elephant Nature Park, TORBOON has launched a giving campaign on October 9. We are donating 5% of our mask sales through the end of 2020.

Join us this season as we weave another good deed into our world. Receive double happiness with your holiday gift of these 100% naturally dyed cotton handwoven masks.
