Happiness is in the Giving:
Back in 2020, TORBOON reached out to Elephant Nature Park for a cool campaign called 'Happiness is in Giving.' This happened when travel was a no-go due to the pandemic. Picture this: a sanctuary that's home to over 100 elephants, plus cats, dogs—basically a bustling animal paradise with around 4000 furry friends! To support the sanctuary, we designed sanitary masks, and a portion of the proceeds from their sales contributed to funding food supplies for these cherished animals.
In 2021, we rallied once more, channeling our efforts into food funding and reconnecting with the sanctuary. The magic of giving continued to resonate, weaving an everlasting thread of happiness within. Wanmai especially, the one-year-old dynamo of an elephant, we met her on the day we gave the sanctuary the supportive gifts of the second year. Her irresistible charm and mischievous spirit gifted us an authentic happiness like no other. Inspired by this encounter, a brilliant idea sparked: capturing her playful footprint as a symbol of our connection for the upcoming year.
2023 marked another incredible chapter as we introduced the charming Wanmai pouch (elephant foot print pouch) and ignited the 'Happiness is in Giving' program once again. From April through July, TORBOON's heartful supporters united with us in a wave of generosity that echoed the very essence of giving again. As July bid farewell, we journeyed back, bringing with us a heartwarming gift of 30,593 Bht.
This time, we uncovered an extraordinary bond between the elephants and their mahouts. The majestic giants responded with remarkable sensitivity to the gentle "Hush hush!" calls of their mahouts, even in the absence of the traditional hook. It's moments like these that imprint the true essence of our cause in our hearts.
Our journey took an exciting turn as we embarked on filming the deep connections unfolding between these incredible beings. What we witnessed resonated profoundly: a testament that all living species share an innate bond, born to coexist and care for one another.
